Shawn Mendes is a Canadian-born singer, songwriter, and Vine star. He was born on August 8, 1998, in Toronto, Ontario, and raised in Pickering. His father, Manuel, is a businessman, and his mother, Karen, a real estate agent. He has a younger sister named Aaliyah. Mendes attended Pine Ridge Secondary School. He also took several online courses in an effort to complete his high school diploma.

CAREER
Mendes began posting videos in 2013 and has since gained over 20 million followers on social media.
