Bryant Gumbel is an American television journalist and sportscaster who became widely known for co-hosting NBC's Today for over 15 years. After leaving NBC, he hosted a number of shows on CBS. Over the course of his career, he won 4 Emmy Awards.
In 2009, Gumbel underwent a surgery to remove a malignant tumor near one of his lungs, and he seems to have recovered completely.
He was married to June Baranco with whom he raised two children, but the couple got divorced in 2001. In 2002, Gumbel married Hilary Quinlan, and they have been happily married ever since.
