The actress essayed the role of Preeti, the typical Bollywood girlfriend who is pretty, meek and naive to a fault. Kabir Singh saw her play the lead opposite Shahid Kapoor who played the titular lead character in the movie. 
The movie was a massive success at the Box Office even though critics were uncomfortable reviewing it because of its toxic undertones. Social media wasn't as inhibited as the critics and lashed out at the movie and its director, stating that Kabir Singh glorified toxic relationships.
